The Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA)

Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) is a national Canadian non-profit organisation dedicated to the safe collection and disposal of unwanted consumer health products — such as unused or expired medications and used medical sharps. Through regulated “take-back” programs, HPSA works with pharmacies, collection sites and regulated waste-management partners to prevent healthcare and consumer products from entering landfills, sewers or the general waste stream. Their efforts enhance public health, protect the environment and reduce risks associated with improper disposal (for example needle-stick injuries). HPSA has collected millions of kilograms of medications and sharps across its network of thousands of collection locations, and it provides information and tools for consumers to engage in responsible disposal practice.

West Island College (WIC)

Founded in 1974 in the West Island of Montreal, West Island College (WIC) is home to two schools under one roof where students coexist in perfect harmony: a fully French-language school and an English-language school with a strong French immersion program. Both offer enriched curricula and mother-tongue language courses, creating an optimal bilingual learning experience.

For over 50 years, WIC has been at the forefront of educational innovation, integrating technology and forward-thinking pedagogy to foster personal excellence and a passion for learning. At WIC, our teachers and professionals are more than educators—they are mentors, coaches and role models.  Through academic engagement, extracurricular activities, and our House system, they build meaningful connections with students and nurture essential qualities like curiosity, courage, and self-awareness.

We believe in a holistic approach to education –  one that emphasizes real-world learning, personal growth, and strong community ties. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant, bilingual environment where students are empowered to explore boldly, grow with purpose, and develop the confidence to lead—as proud WIC Voyageurs.

WIC students follow the curriculum of the Quebec Ministry of Education, enhanced through school-based WIC Difference programming. We are proud that 100% of our graduates pursue post-secondary studies, with 96% gaining admission to the institution and program of their first choice.
