Executive Director, Québec

About the Electronic Products Recycling Association

The Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) is an industry-led, national not-for-profit organization that manages and operates efficient and effective regulated electronics recycling programs across Canada. Its mission is to enable businesses and consumers to manage their regulated electronics products sustainably. EPRA collaborates with producers—manufacturers, distributors, and retailers—to fund and manage programs through Environmental Handling Fees (EHFs), ensuring convenient, free recycling for Canadian residents.

EPRA supports a province-wide network of collection points, including municipal depots, private facilities, and retailers, and works with approved recyclers for processing millions of devices each year. By recovering valuable materials like metals and plastics, the association contributes to the circular economy and reduces landfill waste.

In Québec, EPRA operates under an agreement with RECYC-QUÉBEC and in accordance with the provincial Regulation respecting the recovery and reclamation of products by enterprises. Its program is designed to reduce the environmental footprint of electronic waste by enabling the safe recycling of end-of-life devices. EPRA-Québec works with a wide network of partners — including private depots, municipal recovery facilities, retailers, and recyclers — to ensure efficient, province-wide coverage as well as safe, secure and environmentally sound processing of electronics. It also leads targeted public awareness campaigns such as the well-known Les SerpuariensMD initiative.

To lead its strategic and operational activities in Québec, we are currently assisting EPRA in recruiting their next:

  • Ensure the program meets all requirements of its agreement with RECYC-QUÉBEC and responds proactively to evolving regulatory expectations;
  • Actively contribute to EPRA’s national initiatives and strategy development;
  • Chair and coordinate advisory committees bringing together partners from government, civil society and industry;
  • Work collaboratively with other Producer Responsibility Organizations when appropriate.

  • A minimum of 7–8 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in logistics, recycling, environmental services, or a regulated industry;
  • Proven ability to manage complex relationships with regulators, service providers, and industry partners;
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets;
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management;
  • Fluency in both French and English, oral and written, including facility in public speaking in both languages;
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach combined with strategic vision and a collaborative leadership style;
